My Services

Fabrication

My welding services range from repairs to custom ornamental pieces. My welding shop is mobile which allows me to provide a wider range of services on site. I can build or repair most alloys including aluminum and thicknesses from sheet metal to heavy material that are multiple inches thick. Torch services are available also.

Horseshoeing

I provide services that include barefoot trims to corrective shoes. A horse’s feet are their foundation. They require sound feet for a healthy life and performance. I pride myself on practicing quality horsemanship techniques when handling horses while working with veterinarians to diagnose and treat problems.

Horse Training

I use simple horsemanship techniques for training. My tack and tools are basic because my methods rely on the horses’ natural instincts and an understanding of their body language and movements. With this understanding I am able to position the horse for them to be successful.

About

I began horseshoeing in 1995, apprenticing under Jerry Collins in Colorado. I moved to New Hampshire in 2000 and have continued to study the art of horseshoeing through books, clinics, and application. I use traditional methods with modern technologies when necessary.

I trained my first horse in 1997 in Montana. Since then I have worked with many breeds to accept a rider. I have studied and applied techniques from Tom Dorrence, Buck Brannaman, John Lyons, Monty Roberts, and Pat Parrelli. These methods utilize an understanding of the horse’s instinct to communicate with them in a way for them to be successful without being frightened or feeling the need to defend themselves.

I began welding in 1998 in a sheet metal shop in Colorado. When we moved to New Hampshire I worked for a company building heavy construction equipment. Through my various jobs I have worked with multiple alloys and thicknesses from .020 to as much as 8”. I can weld with anything from a hammer to sub arc. I maintain an extremely high radiographic test (RT) success rate in multiple processes.
